Korea in Analog

For two years I lived in South Korea. I married my military husband and nine months later joined him overseas. Yes, it took that long to get all that military government paperwork through! I had a lot of time on my hands, having left my job and my friends/family, so I spent some of that time figuring out the camera my dear sister in law passed down to me from their mother.

I have fond memories of that time, taking pictures with without inhibition. I didn't spend a lot of time formally studying photography, or worrying about how they would come out in comparison to others work. And to make things even easier, film and development was cheap!

I love looking over my work from that time. It reminds me of how it felt to take pictures freely, without too much care for rules. It helps me get back to the place where intuition and visual beauty meet.

Enjoy.
